Yes, once the data has been aggregated. If your data lives on cloud services and requires live streaming such as google calendar, you would need an internet connection to get the data. However, to switch between F1 to Calendar UI within your screen does not require internet connection - only local router connection.
How do I know you're not collecting my data?
We encourage you to go to the linux terminal and put in "ss -tunap". This will show all outbound and inbound connections. There shouldn't be any outbound connection that points prjkt-aurora.com. We encourage you to keep asking these questions to us and other manufacturers.
Does it integrate with my existing smart home setup?
Though it has IEEE 802.15.4 - therefore it is matter enabled - AurOS does not have a dedicated Smart Home Config, it is currently a high priority for the dev team. On the bright side, the linux kernel is yours to own, and you are encouraged to set up Home Assisstant on it. If there are any hardware related issues, please contact us. We want to maintain an Apple-like standard of it just works with hardware.
